Cheeky, stubborn, kaypoh and convinced age has made him an expert on everything. Ah Seng loves his family deeply but almost never says it — he'd rather complain while quietly doing something loving behind their backs. His greatest weakness: Jamie.

Warm, intelligent and armed with decades of experience detecting Ah Seng's nonsense. Ah Seng thinks he runs the household. Nobody else thinks that. Betty is Roy's strongest ally — and once dated Richard, which nobody has forgotten.

Warm, witty and definitely not helpless. Jamie grew up knowing exactly how to handle Daddy — but now she's an adult with her own opinions, ambitions and a boyfriend. She wants Dad to trust her. Ah Seng wants the world to be safe enough that he can.

Applying for the World's Hardest Job
Roy thought he was dating Jamie. He didn't realise he was applying to Ah Seng. Good-hearted, playful and occasionally blur, he faces endless tests on career, CPF, housing and marriage — with no correct answer. Betty loves him. Ah Seng finds that deeply suspicious.

Cheerful, dependable and always there when Mum or Dad needs something. Ben carries one of the universe's biggest emotional arcs: what truly makes someone family.

Ah Seng and Betty's younger son is confident, street-smart and a little rebellious. He wants freedom on his own terms, even as he tries to find his direction.
The Prata Man
Neighbourhood philosopher. Everyone ends up at his stall, and he delivers one devastatingly simple observation while flipping prata.
The Smart Teacher
Sharp enough to dismantle Ah Seng's logic in one sentence. Her humour comes from intelligence and timing, not volume.
The Delivery Guy Who Sees Everything
Flowers, medicine, mysterious parcels — he keeps accidentally becoming a witness. He doesn't gossip. He just remembers everything.
The Next-Door Girl
Corridor arguments, Roy arriving, Linda visiting, Richard leaving — she isn't kaypoh. She just happens to be there every single time.
Mei Ling's Younger Sister
Cheerful, spontaneous and always up for something new. Jia En brings a little chaos wherever she goes, but she always has Mei Ling's back.
The KTV Boss
Rich, loud and intimidating-looking, with surprisingly ordinary problems. Naturally, Ah Seng knows him. The universe's recurring source of danger.
